Manglyaan, Gallery-21, 2014

Moscow, Russia

The name borrowed from Sanskrit Mangala, known as manglyaan (Mission to Mars) was an Indian Mission to Mars was launched in 2013. From the humble wheel’s first revolution to our audacious journey toward Mars, a cosmic thread of innovation weaves through the ages. Millennia ago, the wheel, a simple yet profound creation, set humanity in motion—rolling across landscapes, bridging distances, and shaping civilizations. It was the pivot point for progress, a circular catalyst that spun forth ingenuity. Fast-forward to our present epoch: Mars beckons, a crimson siren luring us beyond Earth’s cradle. Our spacecraft, like celestial chariots, bear the dreams of visionaries and the sweat of engineers. They traverse cosmic highways, propelled by fusion of science and imagination. The wheel, now metamorphosed into rockets and rovers, carries us toward the Red Planet—a tireless testament to our relentless pursuit of the unknown. And so, from the wheel’s ancient revolutions to Mars’ distant horizons, innovation dances across epochs, whispering: “Explore, evolve, and dare.”
