The first time I saw Robert Rauschenberg’s art, it blew me away. It reminded me of when I was 6 years old and liked to hang everyday items around the house or put together things that were left unused. I didn’t know it then, but in 2009, when I saw Rauschenberg’s art, I realized that what I did as a kid was actually creating art. His art showed me that playing with household items in 1994 was my way of making art.
I created an artwork called “Global Warming.” It shows how the world’s natural history and environment are hurt by making plastic. It talks about how our water is getting dirty and how global warming is affecting the Earth’s ecosystems.
